Valentine’s day ideas to keep the passion burning

One of the biggest holidays of the year is coming up soon. If you haven’t taken notice of the decorations around the house having turned red and pink, of you’ve neglected to see February 14th has been circled in your calendar in the form of a heart, you might be surprised to know that Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. It’s on this day that many a person will share with their one true love thoughts of devotion accompanied by the thoughtful gift, greeting card, or kind act. And while many would think that these admirable types of acts must break the heart of one’s wallet, it doesn’t always have to be the case. There are many different ways a person can say “I love you” this Valentine’s Day without having to go broke.

One surefire way to be able to keep the passion burning this time of year is to create a unique gift. That’s right! It doesn’t take that much work to create a one of a kind way to show your valentine your love through a personalized present. This can range from something as simple as creating a song for your loved one to writing a simple handwritten message from the heart. If you find that you are not terribly artistically talented: that’s fine! Feel free to ask a friend to help you craft a card which will display to your love the type of affection you have for them. A homemade gift shows a valentine that their love thinks about them and is willing to share their creative (and often vulnerable) side to them.

Another way to share your love for your Valentine is to create IOU’s. Think of these as mini gift certificates. Feel free to create a small book out of construction paper. On each certificate, write down any act for which the certificate can be redeemed. There are many things one can make for these cards. Massages, chores, dates, etc! There’s many things these could be used for. They allow you to be able to give a tangible present to your loved one, and still be creative and quite personal at the same time.

One last way to show your special someone that you love them is to actually spend a little money on them with a classic gift such as some accessories or a fragrance. This again doesn’t have to break your wallet. Buying gifts early may help save you extra cash that waiting on the last minute when certain supplies run out. You’ll lack choice of option and may have to pay a higher price. Buying items such as designer purses or fragrances early can help you find a lower cost. And keep in mind that when buying your loved one a gift that certain items or timeless. Finding that classic hand bag or perfume can win you major points with your valentine this year.

Always remember to keep in mind your loved one. This is especially true on Valentines day. Hopefully these tips can help you save money, but more importantly they should help you shower your valentine with love!
